Falling out of love with blogging??

It can't be! *Gasp*
I'll spice it up and take it places it's never been...anything to keep this relationship alive.

Anyways, Labor day weekend in Atlanta was pure madness. That's the only word I can think of right now. I had a blast and now I'm back. Can't wait to do travel again.....

Work is cool. I'm getting into the groove of thangs. Loving what I do...

Life generally is cool too.
I moved apartments. Love my new spot, not too in love with the walk-in closet...my old one was much bigger but it'll work. Can't wait to start buying furniture and have it come together.

Ehnnnn what's been happening sef?

Long time o jare.
It's not like I've been crazy busy or anything too exotic. I've just been too LAZY to blog, plus throw in the fact that this summer is like the DRYEST ever so there aint much to even discuss unless you wanna hear about my annoying co-worker who is constantly scratching like she got scabies or something. Uh uh...a daily highlight indeed.

Back to the dryness of this summer---> Absofrigginlutely Ridiculous. Helloooooo....the first darn summer that I have a car and absolutely NADA to doo. Urghhh!
At least last summer there was NEA, Tuface, Interesting parties, the boyfriend and the very frequent trips to NYC among others. Hmmmmmm.........
I sha ended up not going for Naijafest. I decided to go for someone's wedding instead. Really nice..I had a good time.
Finally, finally getting to do 6 flags this summer as I had been wanting to do. Chances had previously come up, but there was always a conflict. Pencil that into my calender for next weekend...thank you.
And hopefully I will be in Hotlanta for Labor day weekend. *fingers crossed*
Lord knows I need some fun and excitement....boo!

Oh, and I'm moving next week. Looking forward to it....moving is always fun.

I'm sleepy.....

The annoying thing about Audit as opposed to Tax is that you're constantly on the move. Absolutely no stability or the opportunity to put your cute little pictures in a cube that has your name beside it.
It's also annoying because you might not dig your 'home away from home' for the next 3-4 months. That's the case with me right now. We are auditing a school located in one of the questionable looking areas of Baltimore city aka the Hood. I'm not even mad about that. I'm just mad about the fact that it affects the lunch situation. The closest McDonalds and KFC look like they sell Double ratburgers and Ratchicken buckets, respectively. And my trainer (who happened to have audited this same school a coupla years ago) was gisting us how you'll be eating at that Mcdonalds and people be coming up to you asking for lunch money/bus money/whatever...disturbing your peace.
Obviously the decent looking spots are a good 40 min drive, round trip..so that totally cuts into my lunch hour.
I should just take my lazy ass and cook something that I can carry to work, store in the fridge and microwave at the appropriate time right?
Right.

TGIF.

I have a headache.
Got off work earlier than usual and decided to try the other way towards 83N. Hmmm...let's just say that I found myself in 4 different locations totally opposite from my usual route and I got home 40 minutes later. I think that might have caused the headache. Blehhhh!

The weekend should be nice. UNFORTUNATELY, I won't be able to hit up the Femi Kuti Concert tonight. And I was soooo looking forward to it. *Pouts*
That evil Loluwa (:fancy:)..LMAO. Aniwoos that evil chick better not come and give me jist about what I missed. I saw her dropping events o...talking about "Let's grab some Sundaes, see Harry Potter and go for the Femi Concert afterwards".

It's all good.
However, on Sarraday I'm off to Philly and Jerze with Maud. I think Shay Shay is trying to drag us to Atlantic city but shoot..only if she's paying!
These are times of brokeness but join hands and pray with me because this too shall pass. Actually, it will pass veryyyy soon, when I get that 1st check. LOL!!!

I dey go organize food jare. Where is Maud? lemme harrass her......

I love my friends.

The first day of work is an event and I got a ton of 'Goodluck' texts to go along with the event. Hehehehehehhe.......

What can I say? I was just thankful to be able to stay awake all through the 'ordeal' of sitting in training with information flying over your head left right and center, not to mention that there was a big lunch to go along with it and that just added to my sleepiness.
Phew!
We thank God sha.....

The weekend festival was nice. DJ Ov came through and we went to see Musiq. REALLY nice performance, I tell ya. Really nice....

And since I'm always on the lookout for such thangs...
Artscape is in 2 weeks. FREE Keyshia cole and Lupe Fiasco concerts. If you're in the B'more/DC area you should definitely come through.

I can't sleep!
I saw Transformers yesterday--> July 4th, 2007.
Really good movie. I think Jaems wants to sex Optimus Prime..but then again she's just a plain ol' weirdo.

For the upcoming weekend, I'm torn between going for the African American Heritage Festival and someone's wedding.
The festival will feature FREE performances by Musiq Soulchild, Dionne Farris, The Pharcyde, Fertile Ground, Patti Labelle and Charli Wilson, among others. As well as dance performances, a step show, Open mic and other interesting stuff. And did I mention that it's all for FREE?
Now I'm only interested in the wedding because I'd love to see how Yoruba people conduct thier traditional weddings (Friday night), and a bunch of my girls are going for the white wedding.(Saturday noon)
Hmmmm...decisions, decisions.

Shoot, looking at all that I typed, I think I'll definitely be doing the festival. This won't be the last Yoruba wedding.

Vacation over among other things....

I spent one week in good ol' San Francisco. This was my second trip and once again, it really hit me how WEIRD most SF residents are. It's like a city requirement or something....
I had a great time! It's funny 'cos some people asked ..'what did you get up to?' and I couldn't really pinpoint anything out of the ordinary. I guess the people I encountered were some great Individuals.
I did see this really good play called 'Tings dey happen'..based on the Niger-Delta situation among other things. One white man who spent about 10 months in Nigeria, so he was playing the different characters he encountered. I tell you he really got the pidjin on lock. I really wanted to meet up with him backstage and yarn some good ol' pidjin.

I'm just REALLY pissed off at the fact that for some odd reason, the 100 and somn' pictures I took are all MIA.

Aniwoos! I'm back to Murrland.
I'm just chilling. One more week to bum around before I officially start the J-O-B.

I realize that I am losing patience with people and bullshit. Bullshit and people...
These days I'm speaking my mind and telling it like it is. I've always been an outspoken Individual but I stepped it up a notch. If you don't like it too bad...
N will probably read this and think ..'there goes this bish and her my way or the highway mentality..' LMAO. It aint even like that...

I am like Sooooooooooooooooooo late but....

I just read Purple Hisbiscus by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie and I absolutely loved it. I couldn't put it down..I stayed up all night to read it, thats how good it was.
Much better than Half of a Yellow sun, in my opinion.
